Banana is considered as a complete food as it contains many nutrients like fiber, potassium, vitamin C, and vitamin B6. So, why not to have all these nutrients in some delicious form……like Banana Dosa!!!
Ingredients Required:-
- Weat flour – 1 cup
- Semolina – 1/2 cup
- Rice flour – 1/4 cup
- over ripe bananas – 2 (mashed)
- Milk – (around 150-200 ml)
- Sugar/ Jaggery – (as per taste)
- Baking powder – 1 Tsp.
- Cardamom – 1/2 Tsp. (Powdered)
- Salt – a pinch
How to make Banana Dosa
Take a bowl and add wheat flour, rice flour & semolina properly. Then, add baking powder, salt & sugar in this bowl. Mix all the dry ingredients nicely & keep the bowl aside. Now, with the help of any blender, prepare a thick paste from mashed bananas & milk. Add, a pinch of cardamom powder also in this paste. Now, add this thick paste in dry ingredients mixture bowl and mix well. Add more milk, if the consistency of final mixture is very thick (adding more milk is optional process). Let the mixture or batter sit aside for about 30-35 min. After half an hour, turn on the flame and heat the dosa pan, but not make the flames comes out of pan. Keep it medium hot. Then, spread the batter with gentle hand. This should not be thin as regular dosa. Keep it little thick. Pour or drizzle oil around it. Once browned, flip it on the other side and again drizzle oil around it. No need to cook it for very long time. Banana Dosa is ready for serving.
Yummy Secrets:-
1) Using Ghee or Butter instead of drizzling oil, makes the dosa more flavourful.
2) Try Maple or honey- cinnamon syrup as a dip with dosa.
