Ingredients
- For Koftas
- chopped Spinach(palak)- 1/2 cup
- chopped Fenugreek(Methi)- 1/2 cup
- chopped lambsquarter(bathua)- 1/2 cup
- Gram flour(besan)- 2tsp
- Chopped onion-1/2
- Cumin seeds(jeera)-1tsp
- Salt to taste
- Chopped green chilli -1
- Chat masala- 2tsp
- oil
- For Gravy
- Onion paste-2
- Garlic-Ginger paste(adrak lehsun)- 2tsp
- Cream-1/2 cup
- Tomato puree-1/2cup
- Finely Chopped Coriander Leaves
- Cumin(jeera)- 1tsp
- Bay leaves(tejpatta)- 2
- Cinnamon stick(dalchini)-1/2 inch
- Black cardamom(badi elaichi)- 1
- Salt to taste
- Coriander powder(dhaniya)-1tsp
- Red chilli powder-1/2tsp
- Turmeric powder(haldi)- 1/2 tsp
- Garam masala- 1tsp
- oil
- Water
How to make Hariyali Kofta
- For making Koftas-:
- Mix all the kofta ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
- Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape into small round balls.
- Heat the oil in a frypan and deep-fry the koftas till golden brown color on medium flame.
- Place them on an absorbent paper and keep them aside.
- For making gravy-:
- Heat the oil in a pan and add cinnamon (dalchini), black cardamom (badi elaichi), black peppercorn (kali mirch), and cumin seeds (jeera) for few seconds,
- Add onions and ginger-garlic paste on a medium flame and stir till golden brown.
- Add the coriander powder, chili powder, turmeric powder, salt, garam masala, tomato puree and cook until the oil separates.
- Add warm water and cook for 6-8mins.
- Add fried koftas(just before eating), mix well,and cook for a min.
- Remove from the flame .
- Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and cream and serve hot.
