Ingredients
- Green peas – 200 grams
- Cauliflower – 250 grams (cut into small pieces)
- Potatoes – 200 grams (Thinly sliced)
- Onions – 2 (Thinly sliced)
- Green chili – 2 (Finely chopped or slited)
- Cinnamon – 2 sticks
- Cloves – 4
- Black peppercons -6 to 7
- Bay leaves – 2
- Green cardamom – 2
- Basmati rice – 1/1.5 cup
- Vegetable oil – 4 tbsp
- Green Paste – 100 g {grind green Coriander leaves, green chilies, ginger to make
- a fine paste}
- Salt to taste
- Garam Masala Powder( a pinch)
How to make Hara Pulao
Heat on the flame and keep a non-stick pan. Put some oil in it and then add bay leaves, cinnamon, cloves & peppercorns on a low flame for a minute. After this, add slited green chillies & sliced onions in the same pan until onions gets pink in color. Empty all this mixture in a bowl. Now, keep the pan on a low flame again and put remaining oil in it. Once oil get heated, add all the veggies (peas, cauliflower & potatoes) and fry it well. After this, add green paste and mix it properly. Also, add onion chilli mixture along with salt (as per taste) & pinch of garam masala. Mix all the ingredients in a pan nicely and turn off the flame. On the other hand, wash & steam cook the rice. Once it gets cooled add the veggie mixture in it with a gentle hand. Hara Pulao is ready to serve with coriander garnish.
Yummy Secrets:-
1) While steaming rice, just add a pinch of salt & few drops of lemon or lemon zest in it for nice flavour.
2) When the pulao is ready, just add 1 tbsp of Desi Ghee in it just before serving.
