Poha / Avalakki Dosa Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 Cups Poha
  • 1.5 Cups Rice( Sona Masuri)
  • 1 Cup Yogurt/ Buttermilk
  • 1.5 tsp Salt

How to make Avalakki dosa

  • Soak rice in warm water for about 1 hour.
  • Meanwhile, wash the poha and soak it in beaten curds or buttermilk.
  • Grind the rice and poha along with curds separately and mix both of them adding enough salt.
  • Keep the above batter in a warm place to ferment for about 4 hours.
  • Pour a ladle full of batter into a hot greased skillet and spread out into a thick circle. Close the lid and allow it to cook. Add oil/ghee flip and cook the other side.
  • Serve hot with your choice of chutney.
  • Enjoy!!!
