Ingredients
- 2 Cups Poha
- 1.5 Cups Rice( Sona Masuri)
- 1 Cup Yogurt/ Buttermilk
- 1.5 tsp Salt
How to make Avalakki dosa
- Soak rice in warm water for about 1 hour.
- Meanwhile, wash the poha and soak it in beaten curds or buttermilk.
- Grind the rice and poha along with curds separately and mix both of them adding enough salt.
- Keep the above batter in a warm place to ferment for about 4 hours.
- Pour a ladle full of batter into a hot greased skillet and spread out into a thick circle. Close the lid and allow it to cook. Add oil/ghee flip and cook the other side.
- Serve hot with your choice of chutney.
